This position is involved with three IHG branded hotels. When on-location, the sales coordinator will serve as an on-site point of contact for in-house groups and prospective customers requiring assistance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides professional and courteous guest service at all times Handles all inquiries for meeting room space and wedding group bookings under direction of Regional Director of Sales Efficiently and accurately enter group blocks and rooming lists Monitor group pick up and cut off dates Compose and distribute group resumes and banquet event orders to operational department heads Serves as the on-site point of contact for groups and prospective customers Scheduling site tours for prospective clients Maintaining a presence within partnering venues for increased exposure to targeted segment Provide administrative support to the Regional Director of Sales Any additional tasks as requested by the Regional Director of Sales Additional Duties Complete additional responsibilities as requested by the Director of Sales Actively seek out additional tasks when daily responsibilities are complete Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities provided via IHG franchise and Linchris Hotel Corporation Essential Behavior Requirements Customer Service: Displays a professional sense of urgency when communicating and interacting with customers, coworkers, and the public in a way that exceeds the customer's wants and needs. Minimum Qualifications Education or Experience- One to two years related hospitality sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills- Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to: read, analyze, and interpret general business and sales documents, and financial reports. Write business letters, correspondence, summaries, and reports using prescribed format, and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style. Actively participates in discussions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, clients, customers and the general public. Mathematical Skills- Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to: compute discount, interest, profit and loss, commission, markups and selling price, and percentages. Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail. Possess strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
