The Credit Balance/Refund Representative is responsible for the internal processing of outstanding credit balances. Some of the specific responsibilities include: - Review accounts to determine if credit balance is accurate. - Create/initiate overpayment letters to insurance. - Create/initiate refunds to insurance and/or patients timely and within compliance guidelines and regulations. - Post payments and debits/credits to respective accounts - Notify Billing Supervisor of any variance or any potential problems that could result in the delay of processing. - Ensure compliance with credit balance rules/regulations. We are looking for individuals who understand the medical billing industry; payment posting and understanding of EOBs is preferred. The Credit Balance/Refund Representative works under tight deadlines, must be an exceptional problem-solver, and must be results-oriented. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
