Strategic Market Analyst

The Strategic Market Analyst will be responsible for identifying opportunities and risks associated with markets, products and competitors as well as identifying market trends and will deliver input for the market segment strategy. Essential Functions: Ensure appropriate product intelligence Conduct market investigations Ongoing evaluation and monitoring of key sales figures Support in developing strategy and new business models Prepare market intelligence (statistics, figures and trends in term of customers, competition and products) Create monthly reports by exporting data from SAP & QlikView into Excel for analysis Work with Sales & Marketing Manager on territory analysis, key metrics, growth initiatives, account analysis Analyze sales reports to identify customer, segment and market trends Identify trends in customer purchasing patterns Review sales data and progress reports Follow up on defined projects, which may include working directly with Account Managers to gather information and data Maintain competitive intelligence database Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; Develop growth strategies, plans and business proposals Have an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition Identify and map business strengths and customer needs Research business opportunities and viable income streams Follow industry trends Participates in the development of sales and marketing strategies Perform reporting for US demands and HQ topics where requested/required Actively liaise with other market functions like Business Segment Mngt., R&D, PM, Global Account Management in Switzerland as well as other regional sales managers around the globe to exchange market needs and options Education and Experience: Bachelor's degreerequired; can be the following: Marketing, Economics or Finance, Business Management, or Engineering 5 years minimum practical experience in the marketing of technical products Experience in the sealants and adhesives industry is preferred Required Skills and Abilities: Strong technical product awareness Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working across and at all organizational levels in diverse cultural and geographic environments (internally and externally), enjoys working in a matrix organization Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently while facing shifting priorities Pays good attention to details and accuracy Strong orientation toward achievements. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
