Facility Engineer

Scope: Schedule facilities project planning and work loading.  Coordinate infrastructure preparation and the associated installation of new machines and/or equipment. Significant experience performing preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery. Anticipate problems and take necessary corrective action. Must be able to perform at least two (2) of the following skills - advanced electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC repair including preventative maintenance duties with no supervision.  Ability to read blue prints and schematics while trouble shooting complex issues, maintain database for equipment and systems records and respond to work order request. Works with minimal or no supervision. Monitor maintenance & building safety standards and enforce Advanced computer skills. Duties and responsibilities: Schedule and oversee maintenance and repair work to ensure work is completed in a timely manner. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules per equipment manufacturer's specifications and systems to include periodic inspections. Maintain preventive maintenance and work order records in the on-line FIIX database. Generate facilities metrics from the on-line FIIX database detailing preventive maintenance and work order status.  Generate and analyze other metrics as requested / needed. Develop and implement changes and enhancements to procedures and equipment Serve as technical resource to production personnel, supervisors, production coordinators, outside contractor services, and other personnel as required. Support the installation/modification of the equipment and systems following manufactures specifications and established testing procedures to ensure proper working order. Trouble shoots equipment malfunctions and takes corrective action. Company liaison with equipment suppliers. Recommend changes and enhancements to procedures and equipment to result in more efficient operations. Report any problems, defective materials, questionable conditions or unsafe conditions to supervisor. Comply with Affirmative Action/EEO regulations, as well as, with company employment and safety policies Essential Knowledge and Skills: Comprehensive understanding & installation of low/high voltage electrical plant systems. Advanced maintenance knowledge of HVAC, plant air systems & facility equipment. Must be able to read, interpret, and communicate company policies and procedures to others. Must have good computer skills including thorough knowledge of MS Office including Outlook and Microsoft Excel. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and service providers. Must be able to operate advanced test equipment. Capable of performing complex electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC repair and maintenance duties. Ability to trouble shoot and fix complex problems associated with above skill sets Ability to plan a project and complete projects in timely manner. Ability to train others. Must be able to climb ladders and lift heavy material on a regular basis. Education and Experience:  8+ years relevant work experience Electrical, mechanical, quality and safety background.  Industrial equipment troubleshooting and repair to the component level.  Manufacturing facility experience preferable. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
