Project Engineer
Methuen Construction Company is seeking a Project Engineer with experience in water, waste/water and heavy industrial process systems to support, maintain and facilitate the profitability and schedules of projects under construction and jobs to bid. The qualified candidate will provide assistance to the Project Superintendents and Project Managers by facilitating the successful execution of the project.
Job Summary would include, but not limited to the following:
o Shop drawing review
o Resolving design conflicts with A-E/Owner
o Developing submittal and change orders
o Solicitation and evaluation of prices from vendors and distributors
o Purchasing permanent project materials
o Control of document distribution
o Log PO's, subcontracts, insurance certificates and correspondence
o Tracking fabrication and delivery of product and equipment
o Keep accurate notes, records, sketches, daily reports, field books, and sketches to describe and verify the planned work as well as the completed work that they will incorporate in the project's record documents
o Follow all Company Policies/Procedures regarding security, discrimination & harassment-free environment, compliance to Code of Ethics, Business Conduct and all others
Specific Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
o Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
o 5-7 years' experience with water/wastewater & heavy industrial systems
o Experience with project planning and scheduling, contracts, and project controls and procedures
o Experience with contract compliance and construction quality
o Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
o Prompt and accurate judgment abilities a must
o Excellent time management skills are essential
o Skill in the use of Windows based personal computers in application of Microsoft Office Professional
o Personal commitment to team environment, safety, customer satisfaction and quality control
