Provides technical support of the corporate desktop environment, backup maintenance, backup telephone system support. Works with IT team to provide timely solutions to daily problems, to plan and implement improvements in the core IT services and processes within WPI.
Technical Support, Maintenance and Analysis
Respond to Help Desk ticket requests to resolve user PC hardware/software/peripheral issues
Account administration in Windows Active Directory
Strong knowledge of Microsoft XP/Office/Server suites
Coordinate with home office IT group
Install/configure all PC hardware, printers and telephones
Install software, version upgrades and patches as needed
Communicate with vendors for warranty or other service requests
Perform other duties and support functions as assigned
This position is responsible for day-to-day decision making under the scope of the position's stated responsibilites and requires senior management or Director level review or approval. This also includes operational decisions, tactical decisions to resolve issues and problems.
High school diploma or GED required
5+ years experience in desktop systems
Knowledge of Active Directory domains
Experience with network and telephone systems is beneficial
Exceptional customer service skills
Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and change direction as needed

### Is Being a Collector Right for Me?
If you have the right skill set, attitude, and willingness to learn, you can do very well in collections. Below are some of the common, day-to-day tasks expected of all Windham collectors.
Placing outbound calls to debtors to negotiate payment
Receiving inbound calls from debtors
Skip tracing (searching for debtor contact information) using various online tools and databases
Following up with debtors on previous collection activities

All new collectors are trained to understand Windham's collection system, the client's collection system, and all client specifics (including repayment arrangements, rehabilitation, consolidation, compromise, administrative resolution, and administrative wage garnishment procedures). The program incorporates a variety of delivery techniques, including oral presentation and instruction, workbooks and training material, group discussions, self-study, role playing, training games, shadowing, reviews (written and verbal), testing, and performance-based assessments.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
